3 Instagram-Worthy Places in Montreal

If you are looking for a new place to bring a date or to catch up with your friends, I’ve got you covered with three suggestions for different times of the day.

All those three places are Instagram-worthy because they have a very beautiful and trendy decor and ambiance. They surely will impress your friends and you will want to come back!

1 – Lunch/Coffee @ Tommy

200 Notre-Dame W, Old Port, Montreal (Website)

This trendy laid-back neighborhood coffee shop is gorgeous! It is located in a beautiful British Empire building, with nice architectural elements, mid-century furniture but also retro and Scandinavian chairs and tables. It is a very “Brooklyn-inspired” vibe. People go there to have lunch, to study or to talk over a coffee. The location is quite small with a beautiful mezzanine with plants everywhere and a beautiful chandelier hovering from the ceiling. Their hot chocolate is so creamy and delicious. I also tried their prosciutto grilled cheese and their soup of the day. The presentation is cute and food was tasty. They recently added their apéro 5 à 7 (happy hour) on Thursday and their brunch menu.

2 – Dinner @ Café Parvis

433 Mayor, Downtown, Montreal (Website)

This creative restaurant is located right next to Place-des-Arts behind the Saint-James Church. The dim lights, the candles, the big front windows, the industrial and modern decor mixed with some wood and warm elements make this spot photo perfect for sure. I have been a couple of times and the service is always casual and nice. Their cocktails are great (try the Paloma!). They offer a very original take on pizza and they also serve delicious healthy salads. The beets and the orzo salads were fresh and good. They change their menus once in a while. Also, they are known for their brunch and for their affordable lunches in downtown Montreal. If you want to pursue the night with some more drinks, Furco is right next door and it is from the same owner.

3 – Drinks @ Atwater Cocktail Club

512 Atwater Ave, Saint-Henri, Montreal (Website)

This back alley hidden cocktail bar has an original and chic ambiance. It has a speakeasy vibe. The place is quite small with a capacity of about 70 people. There are pink fuchsia booths, wood floor, dim lights and mirrored ceiling giving the place a very original and sophisticated look. It has a secret and intimate appeal. The cocktails are original in their presentation but also in their taste. The Smoke Show cocktail has smoke coming out, it is beautiful! I particularly like the Cinco de Mayo (lime juice, tequila, St-Germain, Hibiscus) because of its fresh and citrus taste.
